Women's Committee

Purpose

· To educate all members about women and family issues.

· To discuss the concerns of women workers in the workplace with local union leadership.

· To become active with other labor and women’s organizations supported by the International Union, UAW in order to promote labor’s agenda.

· To encourage women members to become active, both politically and locally.

· To provide leadership and educational training opportunities for women members so that they may become more active in the local union.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· To use the diversity of its local membership to bring together ideas, opinions, and information needed to support common labor objectives.
