Hyatt Legal Plan

Available to UAW active employees, UAW employees on layoff for the first 18 months after the layoff, UAW retirees who are currently eligible for benefits under the Navistar International Transportation Corp. Non-Contributory Retirement Plan (other than a deferred vested pension), as well as the spouses and dependents of all eligible employees. 

Hyatt Legal covers the cost of legal services such as bankruptcy, civil litigation defense, wills and simple documents, divorce, and much more.  It does not cover the court costs and expenses, such as filing fees, transcripts, etc.

Contact Hyatt Legal Benefits to verify eligibility and receive a referral to an attorney by calling 1-800-821-6400 Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm or by accessing their website at www.legalplans.com.  Be prepared to give the social security number of the eligible employee or retiree.

Optum Health Legal Benefits

Is available to all active employees, their spouses, and their dependents.  For those employees who are eligible for the Hyatt Legal Plan, this benefit can be used in addition to the Hyatt Legal benefit or in cases where Hyatt does not offer coverage for a particular service.

Optum Health Legal Assistance includes a free referral to a local attorney and a free 30-minute consultation (by phone or in person).  Ongoing legal services are discounted by 25%.  Free legal documents are available on the Optum Health website.  Contact Optum Health at 1-800-977-7909 or your UAW EAP Coordinator for the website password.  Legal services that are covered include bankruptcy, wills and simple documents, divorce, and much more.  It is recommended that for basic services, such as a will or trust, that members download the form from the website and take the completed form with them to the attorney's office.  This will save time and money!  Legal advisors are typically available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local time by calling 1-800-977-7909.

Optum Health Financial Services

Unlimited free phone consultations for all active employees.  Free document review of budgets, loan paperwork, taxes, by fax or email.  Free referral to local financial professionals and advisement resources, but their services are not discounted.  Financial consultants are available by calling 1-800-977-7909 from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.

Consumer Credit Counseling of Northeast Indiana

Consumer Credit Counseling of Northeastern Indiana is a non-profit agency that offers debt counseling and debt management for free!  They can help you negotiate with creditors, develop a budget and more.  Call 260-432-8200 or visit their website at www.financialhope.org.
