The Bargaining committee's purpose is to uphold the employee’s right as defined in the National and Local Agreements established during negotiations and any subsequent agreements that may be made.
Local 2911 has six elected committeepersons as agreed to with the Company during the negotiations at the national level. The Bargaining Committee Chairperson is included in this number. All six also serve on the Executive Board.
The Chairman is also involved in the negotiations for the Main Labor Contract with the other Locals within the Company that fall under those agreements.
