To All Local 2911 UAW Members:

 

The following are some of the reasons for this facility to be affiliated with the United Auto Workers. This is not a complete listing of the benefits. All of these items are UAW negotiated items.

 

• Cost of living allowance added to base pay from Company
• Company paid health insurance with a $55 co-pay office visit charge, $10 prescriptions, vision care, and dental coverage. These figures are subject to the established insurance plan.
• Pension plan with defined benefits, at five year vested rights.
• Annual 3% lump sum payment/salary increase. Subject to provisions.
• Overtime pay @1.5 times after 8 hours and on Saturdays. Sundays and holidays are @ 2 times.
• Vacation time can be taken in 4 hour increments.
• Holiday shutdown period in December, plus 7 other paid holidays.
• Paid personal and sick time allocations.
• Legal service plan through Hyatt Legal Services after first year.
• Supplemental Unemployment Benefits (SUB) after first year of service in case of a layoff.
• Layoff in lieu of transfer (LLT) available under certain circumstances in case of a reduction in force.
• Formal grievance resolution process with representation at no direct cost to the employee.
• Possible relocation in plant closing situations.
• Pay rates and all benefits guaranteed for duration of contract.
• 401K Plan is available.
• Right to hold representative and appointed office in the local union. (Must be a member in good standing.)

 

These are some of the benefits gained through historical negotiations between the UAW and International Truck and Engine Corporation. All benefits are subject to contractual changes.
