Chapter 305         1st Thursday of the month @ 1:00 PM at the Local 2357 office on Pontiac Street.

Chapter 2911        2nd Thursday of the month @ 5:00 PM at Local 2209 Union Hall on Lafayette Center Road

 

 

It is with great sorrow we report that our beloved Chairperson of Chapter 305, Jeanette Gaffer, passed away on Tuesday March 4, 1980.

Jeanette has been a loyal union member for over 55 years. Jeanette has been active as an officer in Chapter 305 for 25 years. She also has been an active board member of UAW Allen County CAP Council since 1980. Jeanette always cared about her fellow union members and retirees and put in countless volunteer hours for the good of the UAW and our members and retirees. If help was needed for a union activity you could always count on Jeanette being there to help.

She will be missed greatly.

 

 

Chapter 305 Election of Officers:

 

Nomination of officers for UAW Chapter 305 will be held at the April 2008 retiree meeting. All offices will be open for nominations. See the list of officers at the top of this bulletin. If interested in running for an office please attend the April meeting or submit in writing your desire to run for an office to:

The election for these Offices will be held at the May Luncheon meeting. Thursday May 1, 2008.

Spring Retiree  Luncheon meeting for Chapters 305 and 2911 will be held Thursday May 1, 2008.

Your cost for the luncheon is $5.00.

In our next retiree bulletin the attendance form will be included for you to send in.

 

 

UAW Retiree Hobby Show:

 

Get you hobbies ready now for the local UAW retiree Hobby Show to be held Wednesday May 7, 2008

 

 

 

 

Insurance:

 

In our last retiree bulletin we included an EXAMPLE of an Aetna Explanation of Benefits to try and point out how to read this information when you receive one from Aetna. Apparently some folks thought this was an actual “bill” to them for services. This was intended to be only an Example of an EOB from Aetna.

 

 

 

Notice for Surviving Spouses:

If you wish to keep your membership current or if you wish to newly enroll as a surviving spouse member, March is dues month. Dues are $12 per year for surviving spouses.

Make your checks out to: UAW  Local 2911 and note on the bottom whether you are a Chapter 305 or Chapter 2911 surviving spouse.

Retiree dues are $2.00 per month and can be deducted from your pension check If you are not currently paying dues and wish to contact us @ 260-918-4094 for information.
