the April meeting nominations will be held for Chapter retiree executive board.

You
must be a member of Chapter 2911 to be eligible to hold an office in the
Chapter.
Notice for
Surviving Spouses:
If you wish to
keep your membership current or if you wish to newly enroll as a surviving
spouse member, March is dues month. Dues are $12 per year for surviving
spouses.
Make your
checks out to: UAW Local
2911 and note on the bottom whether you are a Chapter 305 or Chapter 2911
surviving spouse.

are $2.00 per month and can be deducted from your pension check If you are not currently paying dues and wish to contact us

Hobby Show:
Local competition will be held
Get your projects now and have them ready
to enter in May.
These can be items that you have made
such as paintings, wood working projects, wood carving, sewing,
Knitting,
crocheting, art work, or items that you collect.
Live plants, food or pets are not
eligible.
You must notify Dick Merren at
Insurance:
You received a letter from the
Supplemental Trust Committee recently pointing out changes in our Health
Program effective 2010.
These
changes were necessary because the Stock Market has dropped so much in the last
year.
At the end of 2007 the Trust balance was
$739 million.
At the end of 2008 the Trust balance was
$498 million.
Our Deductible increases to $400.00
per person next year.
Our Monthly Contributions increase to approx.
$58.00 per person, per month so those under 65.
Our Monthly Contributions for those
over 65 increase to approx. $29.00 per person, per
month.
Everything else stays the same.
These increases will allow our coverage
to continue.
Hopefully the Stock Market will recover
this year and restore benefits as they are now.

We eat lunch at noon $5.00
per person (the rest
is paid by the retiree chapter)
We
invite ALL retiree’s and spouses to attend this luncheon, which is followed
by a short meeting.
Come
out and visit with your fellow retired workers and their spouses. Enjoy a nice
meal and good company.
